Abeesse was an abbess (go figure) who is known for discovering Queen Elaine after she lost both her husband and son.
She would later play a key role in presenting Galahad to his father, Lancelot.
Guinevere would also turn to Abeesse for help when she escaped from Mordred.
She originally appeared in the French Vulgate.
