Ignaro is a old man that shows up in the first book of The Faerie Queene. He is a servant in Orgoglio’s castle that we learn is actually the giant’s father (don’t ask me how that works).

He is a blind man, and always looks behind himself instead of forward. Prince Arthur is able to get the keys to the dungeon from him, keys that he uses to free the Redcrosse knight from his prison.
