Perissa: The Younger Sister in The Faerie Queene

Perissa is a character in book 2 of Edmund Spenser’s The Faerie Queen. She is the younger sister of Elissa and Medina, and represents the extreme of enjoying everything too much.

This is not surprising when you consider that her name, in Greek, means “too much” or “excessive”.
